Teen attacked with hammer by ex

Injured teens had broken up:
16-year-old Sarah DeIuliis of Mt. Lebanon, PA. used to date Robert DeAngelis, also 16. She broke off the relationship at the urging of her parents, the typical teenage dating story. What’s not typical is how DeAngelis reacted. Ms. DeIuliis met with DeAngelis to retrieve some of her belongings. DeAngelis asked her to walk with him for a while. DaAngelis then lured her to a secluded area and allegedly attacked her with a hammer. She escaped the attack but not without injuries.

Miss DeIuliis, 16, was in fair condition in Children’s Hospital, where she was being treated for injuries that her father said include lacerations to the back of her head where she was hit with a hammer, a broken bone in her face and bruises to her face.

DeAngelis was not so fortunate. When Ms. DeIuliis escaped his attack DeAngelis threw himself in front of a moving trolley car in a suicide attempt.

With him DeAngelis had a backpack that contained the hammer, a knife, and some duct tape. Ms. DeIuliis is lucky to have escaped with her life. DeAngelis may not be so fortunate as he is in critical condition.

I’ve said this before many times over at CrimeNe.ws, kids, listen to your Uncle Trench. High School relationships are nothing to get worked up over. The odds are that you won’t be together forever. It’s not worth taking a life, your own or somebody else’s.
