Rejection turns to ‘murder’ after TV proposal snub:
A proposal rejection on a Spanish talk show turned deadly when Ricardo Navarro allegedly slashed the throat of his estranged ex girlfriend.
The woman, identified only as Svetlana, was found with her throat cut in the entrance of her apartment in Alicante on Sunday and she died in hospital two days later. She is survived by a young daughter from another relationship.
The stabbing came four days after a weeping Navarro bent down on his knees before Svetlana and presented her with a wedding ring on daytime talk show Diario de Patricia which regularly draws two million viewers.
“You are everything for me, without you I am nothing. I want to live with you forever,” he said during the show taped on November 14 and broadcast later that same day on private channel Antena 3.
Svetlana, also 30, looked on in silence as the man made his proposal, saying only “no” when the show’s host Patricia Gaztanaga pressed her for a reply.
Svetlana had previously requested a restraining order against Navarro and had no idea that he was going to be taking part in the show.

Has anyone ever watched the talk shows on Spanish language channels? They make Jerry Springer look like Martha Stewart.

I want to learn Spanish just so I can watch those.

Trench, just turn on the captions when you watch them.
You will definitely learn all the bad words that way.
