I know the girl who died. Christa, she was a good friend of mine, and her brother taught me piano for two years. Its really sad that she had to go this way, but God does really work in mysterious ways. She IS in a better place now. RIP Christa, we will remember how you tought us the donkey song!!!!

I don’t think we should always attribute things to God, it makes HIM look bad. I think the devil works in mysterious ways, also.

Yeah, I think we can guess what the motive was. What a creep.

yeah, he was not a creep. it’s so funny how everyone can sit in judgment when you all know nothing about them. yes, what he did was wrong, and yes, he should and will be punished for it. everyone agrees about that, even his family.
there wasn’t anyone there but couty and christa, therefore, no one knows all of the facts about what went on. all the speculation and gossip from people who didn’t even know them is only making it harder for the families. they do not deserve it.
can’t they just grieve in their own personal way?
it is a terrible tragedy, and the most humane thing people can do is stop the madness and allow the families to try to pick up the pieces of their lives and put it back together as best they can.

My heart goes out to both families and all I know to do is pray for them. I only saw the Alexander family once at a funeral I was attending at Fundamental Church and everyone thought the world of the Alexander family. My sister had gotten real sick and this family came to help her even though she didn’t really know them, that is God’s love.Everyone needs to love them and show their love to both families now. Yes, everyone has there opinions, but none of us know what was going on in their lives. I just got on my knees when I heard this news and cried for these families and for Couty, because now he has to pay for what he did, but God still loves him. Just pray for Couty, his family and her family that God will comfort and heal their lives. We know that God is still in control of ALL situations.

Ya, I have to also say too, I knew couty and he was NOT a freak. The devil got ahold of him, sad to say, but he was not a freak. He has an amazing family and I’m praying for them. Also christas family, I’ll never forget her! She was one of the best story tellers for demo at SMITE!!! I love you christa!

“The devil got ahold of him”? Now, it wouldn’t really have anything to do with the fact that he is a sinful and depraved individual, would it? Blame it all on the devil cuz it just doesn’t make sense to take responsibility for our own actions, right?

well i have known several Independent Baptist PREACHERS who have had had BIG sin in their lives too. the point here is that being a christian, or an independent baptist, (which i am) does not make you a sinless person. every person on the face of this earth sins everyday. so before we judge couty, or anyone else, we should all take inventory of our own lives, because the simple fact is that we ALL have sin in our lives. and although it may be so easy for you to sit back and point out everyone else’s while hiding your own, you can be sure that The Lord sees yours, and you WILL have to deal with your own one day as well.

“Judge not lest ye be judged..”

I didn’t say it didnt make sense to take resposibility….he confessed, he’s taking full responsibility. Had he kept it covered up then that comment would make since. But he didnt. I’m definately not sticking up for him in this, I agree 100 % he was wrong but he is taking responsibility. And your saying the devil had nothing to do with this?? Where did wicked acts start? Temptation from the devil.

The reason why I say that God works in mysterious ways is because, He knew what would have happened if she was still alive, there is a reason, a purpose that she is in heaven right now. It was her time. She could have been taken in another way, but regardless, its what happens. GOD said it was her time…..

That’s true, it was God’s plan that Christa and her baby be murdered by Couty. He was just doing what God wanted him to do. It was her time.

    What the….?

all of this just goes to show that nobody…NOBODY is exempt from falling. Even king David, a man after God’s own heart, fell into sin in his prime. We must be vigilant and diligent to ask the Lord to protect us from sin

  • Come-ON!!!!
    Jul 8, 2008 at 4:43 pm

Of course God didnt WANT Couty to murder his wife, for the same reason Jesus didnt WANT to be crucified. But it had to happen. It is all in the act of our sinful nature that unjust murder even exist. Jesus hadn’t done any sin, and I doubt Christa had done anything to deserve this either. But God allowed it to happen. For what reason? I have no idea. But it was all in God’s plan. Is Christa and her baby suffering now? NO! They are in Heaven, PARADISE!!! Reaping their rewards, and receiving their crowns. And who IS suffering??

Couty is being tagged as such a “good guy” . From the pictures of him on his coworkers my space pages looks like he wanted his cake & eat it too so the speak. Why was he leaving comments on his buddy “cupcake” myspace page saying “you’re sexy & your’re hot” And if you check out his coworker Allison page & look at her pictures you will see a picture of him holding some chic in front of Chili’s, don’t look like Christa to me. Futher more there are pictures of his co-workers drinking & smoking , and party hard, he (Couty) is just smiling for the camera.(http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=244245970) click on Allison “pics” And you will see pictures of Couty at “Dicks” party (you must be signed in to view pictures). How can two walk together except they be agreed” Birds of a feather flock together. He leaves pretty questionable post on his buddy “cupcake’s” page that insinuate sex, and even drinking (let it snow..beer???) also…two pictures which have been deleted…hmmm? go figure.. Yes, God is a forgiving God & will forgive all of us of our wicked sins…sometimes it takes a little exposing for some us to be “illuminated”, to really see our selves, or orther people we esteemed so highly. One thing is sure Be sure your sins will find you out.

Where? Cuz his myspace says he hasn’t been signed in since 07′ and the link you had on there says the account is deleted. Allison what? what is her last name? How are we supposed to look up someone we dont know how she looks or her full name?? The only friend it shows on his profile is “Tom” So how do you get to where you were?

    Jul 9, 2008 at 1:32 am

Ok, I found what you were talking about, for one thing, the girl he’s holding at chilis looks like a 10 or 11 yr old kid, like a co workers kid or something, and he’s doling her like she’s a kid not in some romantic way, and i looked at allisons photos and he is in the pictures at the party but he’s not even close to the girl in the picture and ya she was holding a beer but i never saw him with it or comments about it?? And the “Cupcake” girl has her photos set to private but n the slide show it said there were no comments. Idk where you looked to find the stuff you said cuz i didnt see it. there’s nothing on her page from him there’s no posts from him so idk where you got that and on his profile he has albums with him and christas pictures so ya he might not have her as a friend…maybe she didnt have a myspace?? But he had pictures of her in his albums “my lil darlin” and the wedding ones. So idk where you got all that stuff but after looking at his myspace it just makes me wonder WHY again cuz they seemed so in love.

I knew both Couty and Christa…. I worked with both of them for several years at the CHEF conference. This is so horrible. I loved both of them, especially Christa, so, so much. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. And Couty was so good with the kids; I would have NEVER thought anything like this would ever happen. I was so happy when they got married!!

I’ve known them both and it is very unbelieveable. I am a very different person with a different view of the world since my days of being around them, but in everything I have seen I could have never imagined anything like this happening. The main thing that comes to my mind, and I hope this doesn’t come across as rude, but I wonder if Couty may have suffered a culture shock when he went into Paramedic school. Lots of people who are fundementalist keep the world at such a distance that I worry for children who know nothing but homeschool, church, and church camp. I wonder if he met some of these “worldly” people and just did not know how to deal with all these new people with different ideals and morals than his own. I am not trying to pass judgment because I know nothing about the situation or make anyone feel like I am blaming homeschooling, church, or church camps. I just wonder if Couty was put into a new world that he didn’t quite understand and was caught up into something he eventually lost control of. I think highly of both families and hope that my insight and curiosity does not cause any harm to them.

If God did this, then he is one sick son of a bitch. I think the Husband did it, and religion had nothing to do with it. I hate it when people say that everything happens because it’s God’s plan. There is no God. He or she doesn’t exist, the bible is like a nursery rhyme. To each their own.

  • Courtney
    Jul 31, 2008 at 9:48 pm

When you wake up in hell one day you will realize just how real God is. Everyone has a choice to accept or refuse God. It’s obvious what your choice was, God didnt DO this, Couty did but yea God allowed it to happen. The Bible, which is God’s word, not a nursery rhyme says “all things work together for good to them that love God” we may not see it right now and may not in our life time but somewhere down the line God is going to use this tragedy for his glory. God is very real and I feel very sorry for what your future holds when you talk about Him like that.

So, no comments on my comment. I feel I may be right on this matter.

  • whatthe?
    Aug 2, 2008 at 4:15 pm

    Chris,

God created us all for good. Couty was not created to murder his wife. He was supposed to love and honor her. Christa was not supposed to be murdered, nor was their baby. When someone chooses evil, it is their choice, not God’s. Would you rather we were created like robots… with no free will? There is evil in the world. Some people decide to choose it. It’s not God’s fault when someone decides to misuse their free will and choose evil. You’re wrong, there IS a God! Take a look at all the good and beautiful choices people make in this world!

    Courtney,
When you say God “allowed” Couty to murder his wife, you make it sound as if Couty asked permission and got it from God Himself. Couty never got permission from God. Since Couty is a human being, like all humans, he has been given the gift of free will by God. That’s what makes us different than His other creation which acts on instinct.

What Couty did was pure evil. It was his and only his choice. He will have to pay the consequences here and in the afterlife.

  • Courtney
    Aug 2, 2008 at 4:38 pm

I didn’t mean that couty asked his permission, God can do all things and CAN prevent things, that was my point, we DO have a choice God doesn’t control us. My point is God does know all and he didnt stop it from happening but because of coutys wrong choice God will have something good come out of it.

    Aug 2, 2008 at 7:53 pm

    Courtney,

Neither one of us, or anyone for that matter, has ALL the answers regarding The Almighty. We probably agree on two things for starters. One, that there is a God. Two, that God can do anything and everything.

Of course God has the ability to stop things such as murder. The next logical question from someone like Chris would be, “Why didn’t He?” I believe that by doing so, God would be taking away Couty’s gift of free will. Did God try to change Couty’s mind? My guess would be yes, many, many, times, through his conscience. The ultimate decision to commit murder rested with Couty. We all have that choice. For God to “snatch the gun” from Couty’s hand, or whatever, would make Couty nothing more than a puppet. God had nothing to do with Christa’s murder. He didn’t “allow” it. He didn’t want it to happen. It wasn’t part of His plan that something good can come out of it. God’s plan for Christa was for Couty to love her and their new baby.

There may be some positive things that happen because of Christa’s murder. If a young woman decides not to marry because her future husband is hiding his true identity, or if a wife decides to leave her abusive husband, then yes, something good has happened from all this (but it wasn’t God’s plan). Christa’s murder was Couty’s plan and his plan only.

    Went to Smite w/ them,

How many church-going, lovingly-protected homeschooled kids commit murder after they enter the real world?

Now consider how many non-homeschooled kids commit murder after they enter into the world.

Obviously Couty is in an EXTREMELY low murder “bracket”. Maybe that’s why no one commented on your post. Your theory doesn’t hold water.
