The government’s permission came from Washington, D.C.- based authorities of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in the form of humanitarian parole, which is granted to illegal immigrants in extraordinary medical or legal circumstances.
Not only his he needed in the prosecution of Peterson but he has also requested counseling for sexual abuse that he’s not getting in Mexico.
No word yet on whether or not this will lead to permanent citizenship.
