Nebraska agrees to 30 days

30-day age limit on haven law advances in Legislature:

It seems that the Nebraska Legislature is leaning towards a 30-day limit for their new and improved safe haven law. This is expected to be law come Friday.

There were actually some people who wanted the law to remain wide open. The law was originally designed to prevent baby dumping but the way it was written Nebraska it led to lazy parenting in my opinion.

The Casey Anthony Addiction

Man Becomes Internet Celebrity By Following Caylee Case In TV Truck:

Is this how pathetic we’ve become as a society?

“There are people out there who are literally addicted to Caylee,” Murtaugh said. “The commercial media cannot provide everything we want. We want more. We’re addicted to it,” Murtaugh said.

Yet outside of Boston Giovanni Gonzalez gets almost no press. It’s a handful of bloggers, AMW and that’s it.

I know I’ve broken my Casey Anthony promise twice today but this just pisses me off.

Casey Anthony sues fake baby sitter

Mother of Missing Toddler Countersues ‘Baby Sitter’ Who Filed Defamation Lawsuit Against Her:

I know I said I wasn’t going to talk about Casey Anthony. However this is the part of the story that fascinates me.

For weeks Cindy and Casey Anthony kept insisting that Caylee was taken by a baby sitter by the name of Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez. I kept saying that if the Anthonys keep trotting that name out they’re going to get sued by somebody with that name. And they were.

Now Casey Anthony is countersuing Ms. Gonzlaez. You would think that she would have more pressing matters to attend to yet here we are.

Let’s hear from Casey’s hugable attorney Jose Baez…

Anthony’s attorney Jose Baez countersued Gonzalez Friday on the grounds that her lawsuit is “frivolous” and simply a publicity stunt by her lawyer, MyFOXOrlando.com reported.

Baez said Gonzalez filed her litigation “to harass and embarrass” Anthony, and her attorney John Morgan is attempting to “generate publicity for his law firm.”

“The Zenaida Gonzalez that Ms. Anthony was referring to drove a different car; she had a different name and she had less [sic] children than the plaintiff has,” the counter claim says. “In Orange County, Florida, alone, there are more than 20 listings for a Zenaida Gonzalez, and the plaintiff cannot prove that she has been defamed.”

Mr. Baez better watch his mouth before 19 more lawsuits come flying in. Then again it’s hard to be sued by somebody that Casey Anthony made up.

Ernesto Gonzalez wants charges dismissed

Father of Giovanni Gonzalez wants charges dropped:

How’s this for gall?

The father of missing 5-year-old Giovanni Gonzalez, Ernesto Gonzalez, wants the child endangerment charges against him dropped even though Giovanni has still not been found. He’s also asking for the evidence that was seized from his house dismissed. You remember that evidence don’t you?

…the boy’s toys, a bottle of cleaner, a mop head, trash bags and a knife that was found on the kitchen floor.

Yeah, that evidence.

A hearing is scheduled for December, 11th. He still didn’t have the cojones to look Giovanni’s mother in the eye.

3-year-old choked to death in motel

3-Year-Old Girl Found Dead In Motel Room ID’d:

37-year-old Veva Virgil and her 3-year-old daughter, Isabella Grace Martinez, checked into a Motel 6 in Watsonville, California last Saturday. Only Virgil checked out of the hotel the next day. Isabella’s body was left behind in the hotel room a victim of strangulation.

Virgil said she acted alone but police are still investigating. I guess the question on everyone’s mind is did she rent the room strictly to kill her child?

Toddler Fight Club at Fort Bragg

Then there’s this story out of Fort Bragg about the guy who let his toddlers fight because they had been fighting with each other all day. Then the jackass decides it would be funny to post the video to YouTube. Then his ex-wife saw it now he’s lost temporary custody of the kids.

Good job there Beetle Bailey.

Drunk gun cleaning kills six-year-old

Girl accidentally killed by father:

First off I want to ask what is up with Snohomish County in Washington state? It’s been fatured one way or another in every single one of my crime blogs.

Ok, on to business…

42-year-old Richard Peters of Marysville, Washington accidentally shot and killed 6-year-iold daughter. Of course he did it while cleaning his gun which is when just about all shooting accidents happen. Oh, and let’s throw ‘he was drinking heavily’ into the mix.

Peters told police he had asked his daughter to bring his Colt .45-caliber pistol from his room. He said he had unloaded the magazine but for some reason the gun fired.

Police said Richard Peters told an investigator he “must have” pulled the trigger. He told a detective he had been drinking “double vodkas” while he and his wife cleaned the guns.

Just because it’s called the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms does not mean you have to use them all at the same time.

You should never have your kids hand you a loaded gun let alone while you’re blind stinking drunk.

Trashy boyfriend uses stun gun on 5-year-old

Police: Man Zaps 5-Year-Old With Stun Gun:

One of the themes at one of my other blogs News of Doom, which is almost a companion site to PBB, is women who leave their kids with their violent, stupid, and all around trash boyfriends. This is one of those stories except the Doom is turned down to about a 3.

I don’t know if he was left alone with his girlfriend’s kid but he must have been since 23-year-old Christopher Patrick Sullivan of Lexington, Ky. is on the run from police. It seems that he didn’t like the way his girlfriend’s 5-year-old son answered his homework question so Sullivan zapped him with a stun gun.

When you see this douchebag’s mugshot you won’t be surprised.

The moral of the story is ladies, don’t leave your kids with your trashy and violent boyfriend.

This is another article about Baby P. Nothing we didn’t already know except this article contains forensic recreations of the multitude of injuries that Baby P received that social services never caught.

Even though they’re just recreations it’s still a little hard to take. Not for the faint of heart.
