Man Gets 22 Years For Stabbing Wife:
Donald Jesse Goettl of Mesa, Arizona was sentenced to 22 years in prison for stabbing his wife, Laura Ann Goettl, 27 times to death. Minutes before he killed her Goettl asked his neighbors to take his wife to church to avoid the Rapture. After he was arrested Goettl admitted to meth use then later told police “The devil made me do it.” Goettl also claims he does not remember stabbing his wife and says that he would change it if he could.
The 22-year-sentence comes after Goettl agreed to a plea. If he went to trial and was found guilty he would have been sentenced to 25 to life.
There’s a reason why meth is illegal kids. You never hear a story about a tweaker who saved a bus full of nuns, puppies, and orphans because he was on meth. Why people willingly shove that crap into their system is beyond me.

I went to highschool with both Laura and Don (W.h.s. Wheatland Wy. Laura and I were class of ‘87. Don was a “transfer” and would have been class of ‘88) Don had problems with “The Devil” (along with other voices) Long before he found Meth. Laura’s parents had a store (The wheatland christian Supply) Laura was the “good girl gone wrong”. Don was the guy She loved (Kinda odd but they, at the time, looked like mirror images of each other). I am shocked, saddend and grieving over this still. Of all the couples ,from there, that it would end like this

People “willingly shove that crap into their system” first out of curiousity and then out of violent addiction.
I’m not defending him; I just know first-hand how addictive meth is, and I thought I’d answer your question.

Laura was my best friend since grade school .she was very good at protecting DON even I never knew about the abuse she suffered for years she hid it now we all know the truth strangers have shared violent stories of them at parties that I now have heard so many times it makes me sick to think know one reached out to help A woman in a bad place and like most woman she was to scared to leave she new he would come after her and kill her and her family and any one close to her that would help her .this is not the only violent act he ever did he hurt a lot of other people before he did this to her . he was a time bomb for years .this is not about METH this is about domestic violence

Hi everyone, this is laura and don’s neice. First of all RAINEY do not tell people false things. My aunt luari didnt leave Don because she was deeply in love with him. Don would not go after her. I dont know who you got your information from but when you tell a story tell how it is and dont put your two cents in and make it look like that is what Don would do. She would come down to family reunions and Don wouldnt be there and he never violently came after her. If you were lauri’s true friend you would respect the fact that she loved Done and that is that. Meth made it really bad but those two loved each other.

Look this is Amber, Laura and Donald jesse goettls daughter I dont no what all poeple no about meth but its not a drug to joke around with and unfortunately my parents did and they got stuck between the drug and reality but they never for one second neglected their children Myself and my brother Tylor ‘17′. My mom met this guy back in high school Aaron Davis my biological father who is not a father figure he is a drunk and imature never grew out of the high school stage we’ll leave it at that. He was not a one woman kind of man and didnt treat my mother the way a man should treat a woman. Don did he gave my mother a life, the world, and everything she ever wanted. She would do anything for my father don. There life was not as bad as poeple make it out to be, and the end defentally doesnt make sence. Thats were the meth comes in, the devil i perfer to call it, playing with fire, you never no what youll get at the end. My life was rough moving all the time but never ever was it abusive, it was a typical family fued. I dont know where Miss Rainey Davis is getting her info but its not true poeple can cope with this loss in many ways but the truth only has one story and that story only Tylor Everett Goettl, and Myself can tell.

I lived with don and laura in sheridan. A couple of times. i watched don shoot up in the kitchen. I stayed with laura when don went to prison. I even had to change tylors stinky ass diaper a few times. One thing for sure, she loved don and she probably would of stayed even if she knew how it would end. she was a great person and i still have a hard time believing I’ll never see her again.
