Lincoln Park man in custody for woman’s fatal beating:
28-year-old James Bruhn of Michigan is under arrest for the beating death of his, follow me now, ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend’s mother. He also severely beat his ex-girlfriend as well.
Bruhn, 28, broke into a home early Wednesday afternoon where Bruhn’s ex-girlfriend lived with her boyfriend, his parents Terri and Donald Kuhn, and the woman’s 2-year-old son, whom police believe is Bruhn’s child.
Wyandotte police said they received a call from Donald Kuhn after he found his wife dead in their home’s first-level bathroom, and his son’s girlfriend, Christina Moritz, 26, covered in blood and unconscious in a second-floor bathroom. Neither Donald Kuhn nor his son were home at the time of the attacks, police said.
Both victims appeared to have been beaten with a blunt weapon, possibly a hatchet, police said.
Wyandotte Lt. Scott Affholter said Thursday morning there were no updates on her condition.
“Our detectives are still investigating the case. We hope she survives this,” Affholter said.
Police said Bruhn had threatened Moritz and has a history of violent behavior and mental illness.
Mental illness notwithstanding I’ll never understand the mindset behind domestic violence like this. As of right now his child is without either parent just because of his stupid Neanderthal like jealous rage. There’s no excuse for behavior like this especially when you involve innocent bystanders. I pray to God this scumbag gets put away for life.

I was in the courtroom today as he was found guilty of felony murder and murder in the 1st degree(premeditaded) among the other horrible charges against him. It’s a shame that Michigan doesn’t have the death penalty to deal with scum like this guy. God Bless to the family of Ms Moritz and the Kuhn family, it was a tough trial but now justice is served. I know it won’t bring Mrs Kuhn back to life, but it is a relief knowing that Mr Bruhn wont be hurting anyone anymore.
