Entire Benoit Family Doped Up

Toxicology reports have come back to show some very disturbing things about the Benoit family, though they were things that people had expected all along, mixed with some things we maybe didn’t see coming. The thing that most of us knew was that Benoit had steroids in his system. This was confirmed in these tests. In addition to the steroids, Benoit also had hydrocodone (generic Vicodin) and Xanax (used for anxiety and depression) in his system. Xanax can also be used as a sedative.

There has been much speculation as to whether or not Benoit killed his entire family over that one weekend in June, though all evidence has always pointed straight to Chris Benoit. The reports, which came out on Tuesday clearly show that Benoit was negative for alcohol, but positive for all of the aforementioned prescription medications.

However, the bad news doesn’t end there. Nancy Benoit tested positive for a painkiller called hydromorphone, hydrocodone, and for Xanax, as well. The saddest part of all is that Daniel, Benoit’s seven year old son also had Xanax in his system and it is believed that it was used to sedate him during his murder. While it was believed (due to track marks on the child’s arms) that Daniel had been injected with either steroids or human growth hormone, the state was unable to test for these due to lack of urine.

The question of roid rage had been lingering for quite some time due to the fact that steroids were found in the Benoit home. However, rage from steroids does not typically last that long, though it can cause things like paranoia, depression, and violence.

There is no way to say what caused the first death that may have led to the subsequent death and the suicide. However, the addition of the Bibles does show thought that could have easily been considered a form of premeditation, being that the placing of a Bible shows that Benoit had some remorse for his actions.
